KOGACHA (KOGA TEA) is a leading green tea refiner, one of the most successful and traditional companies in the Kyushu tea industry.

KOGACHA was founded in 1938 in Setaka-Machi City, Yamato-Gun District, Fukuoka Prefecture on the third largest southwestern island of Kyushu. The city of Setaka-Machi is located directly in Japan's famous tea-growing region YAME, which is known for its high-quality teas with a particular rarity value.

Even today, the company is in direct line of descent to the founder in family hands. The predecessor of the current managing director, as a tea house owner and wholesaler, devoted his whole life to spreading YAME-TEE. With his unswerving passion, his efforts laid the foundation for the spread of YAME TEA and inevitably contributed to increasing the popularity of YAME GYOKURO and YAME SENCHA TEA in Japan.
