Organic Hojicha-Tea

ORGANIC HOJICHA TEA is made from high quality ORGANIC SENCHA-TEA from Japan by roasting it at high temperatures. It contains a light, subtle scent and only a small amount of caffeine, so that it can be enjoyed every day and at any time of the year. This tea is also drunk in Japan by all age groups and is also popular among children and pregnant women because of its digestibility.

Before pouring:

Shape of leaves: both stems and leaves are narrow and long
Color: greenish brown, also referred to in Japan as “nightingale brown”
Fragrance: the rustic, sooty fragrance of a walnut tree

After pouring:

Color: reddish-brown like the shell of a chestnut
Fragrance: roasting produces an unmistakable fragrance like a summer’s day ripening into autumn
Taste: raw and powerful in taste, but meek and mild in its effect and thus very agreeable; a fleeting sweetness in the finish
